  15.  problem:  with this patch old programs can hang in TIOCSETN because
  16. then they really get TIOCSETP...  and you usually only set an alarm for
  17. TIOCSETP not TIOCSETN.

  19.  i forgot about this patch until i had to use gdb on uucico to find out
  20. why it hangs...  see next message. :)
